67 -- DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT The U.S. Army Visual Information Center, Washington, DC intends to award a purchase order on a sole source basis to Sony Electronics under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 40 USC 759(g) and FIRMR 201 -- 29.601-3. The Government requires to purchase the following equipment to support a Component Digital Television Production Facility and a Component Editing Suite in the Pentagon: (2 of each) 1.Digital Betacam Camera/Recorder Mdl DVW790WPAC1 which includes 1.5 B/W viewfinder, VTC14 Tripod plate, raincover, LC700CP camera case, operational manual), camera lens mdl A15X8BDEVM, Power supply and battery charger Mdl AC-DN2PAC1, Digital Betacam Recorder/Reproducer Mod DVM-A500, Decoder Board, Mdl BKDW-505, and Rack Mount Kit, Mdl RMM-111. USAVIC is currently using digital betacam recorder/reproducers. This notice of intent is not a request of competitive proposals; however all responsible sources may submit descriptive literature which fully demonstrates their product meets the brand name specification which shall be considered by the agency. Numbered Note 22 applies with the following revisions "... all proposals received within 15 days... after date of publication of this synopisis will be considered by the Government."
