70 -- SOFTWARE SUPPORT, TRAINING AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES SOL 52-SOBC-9-00051-GS DUE 082599 POC Gloria Smith, (301) 457-1867 This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order for commercial items in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information contained in this notice following the simplified acquisition procedures in FAR part 13.5. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-13. The Bureau of the Census (BOC) has acquired a Davox Corporation license for a Unison call center management system under the Telephone Questionnaire Assistance (TQA) contract with EDS for Census 2000. This system will be installed in the BOC's Jeffersonville, IN call center. The Jeffersonville call center will be the Benchmark Center for the TQA Program. This procurement is for the following: CLIN 1 -- Davox Product and Software which includes Unison Rel. 4.0 Outbound Agents, Client API GUI User License, Additional Supervisor License (RPM); Agent/Time Schedule Recalls, AMD Auto Message, Dynamic Record Exclusion; Application & Agent Work Groups, Additional or New Application, and Client API GUI Interpreter License; CLIN 2 -- Davox Installation of required hardware; CLIN 3 -- Davox Professional Services, CLIN 4 -- Training; and CLIN 5 -- Maintenance. The offeror is required to complete the provision at FAR 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, which its offer. The clauses at FAR 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and FAR 52-212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition. It is the Governments belief that the above described requirements can only be satisfied by Davox Corporation of Westford, MA. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties who possess the capability to provide the above requirement shall submit a proposal, in writing, substantiated by technical information, brochures, etc. and include complete pricing.
