Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the fabrication
of 66 indium-coated metal seals for the in-pile section of the neutron
guides in the NBSR. These metal seals must contain the helium gas
inside the guide casing and are subject to intense neutron and gamma
radiation. Of the 66 seals required, 20 are rectangular, of varying
sizes ranging from approximately 9x5 inches to 26x16 inches. The
remaining 46 seals are circular and range from approximately 1 inch to
13 inches in diameter. NIST will provide all specifications and
detailed drawings of gland dimensions for proper quotation and
construction.. Only quotations for all items shall be accepted. The
required delivery is 90 days after receipt of order, FOB destination,
Gaithersburg, MD. See Numbered Notes 1 and 26. The applicable Standard
Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3599 and the small business
size standard is 500 employees. The solicitation number is 53SBNB967103
and is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) using Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates awarding a fixed
price purchase order resulting from this solicitation. Requests for a
