synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance
with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is
F04700-99-T-1057. This is a Request for Quotation.(RFQ). The
solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those
in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12 and Defense
Acquisition Circular 91-13. The standard industrial classification code
is 8071. The size standard is $5.0M. This acquisition is unrestricted;
it is not set aside for small businesses. The acquisition is for the
following services; Line Item 0001, Contractor shall provide the
following service: blood tests and other related genetic prenatal
screening, prenatal alpha fetoprotein screening to include analysis for
Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG), Unconjugated Estriol (UE3) and
Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) on approximately 20 samples per month. The
estimated quantity per year is 240 each. The Government will perform
the blood draw and samples will be either mailed or transported by
courier to contractor's facility by the Government;test results shall
be mailed to the Edwards AFB hospital by and at the expense of the
contractor;screen positive: patients shall receive diagnostic services
at the a prenatal diagnostic center, at a distance of no more than 150
miles from Edwards AFB, Ca 93524 and shall include: professional
genetic counseling, ultrasound examination, amniocentesis and analysis
of amniotic fluid. Period of performance is 1 Oct 99 through 30 Sep
