synopsis/solicitation for commercial items, prepared in accordance with
the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number
NHLBI-PS-99-494, and is issued as Request For Quotation (RFQ). This
solicitation includes all applicable provisions and clauses in effect
through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) code is 3826, Size Standard 500. The items to be
acquired are: 1) One (1) each, AKTA FPLC system, this system shall be
standard biocompatible in protein purific AKTAfplc with high
performance for fast and easy purification of biomolecules. Windows NT
based control for real-time systems must perform control of AKTAfplc
and must be AKTAFplc pre-assembled and tested. This system shall
include the folowing components: a) Pump, which shall produce accurate,
reproducible, pulse free flow rates and precise gradient formation over
the working rand up to 20ml per minute and 0-5 Mpa; b) Monitor shall
offer unique possibility to measure UV, conductivity, pH to use a
single instrument and UV detection wavelengths 254 and 280nm and with
other wavelengths availability; c) Injection Valve; d) Mixer, and e)
FRAC-900 which must collect up to 95 fractions in 10-18 mm diameter
tubes, 175 fractions in 12mm diameter tubes (optional) and up to 40
fractions in30mm diameter tubes (optional). 2) One (1) each, COMPAQ
DESKPRO EN 450Mhz Intel Pentium II tower Computer with the following
specifications: 100Mhz bus speed, 128 MB RAM (SDRAM), 512 KB Cache, 6.4
GB Ultra ATA hard drive, 3.5"1.44" floppy drive, 32X max CD-ROM drive,
Iomega internal ZIP100 drive (IDE version), ATI Rage PRO Turbo AGP 2
x enhanced graphics, 4 MB video SGRAM, ESS ES1869 embedded sound card,
1 AGP expansion slot used by video card, 2 ISA Expansion slots, 5 PCI
expansion slots, 2 Serial and 1 Parallel ports (1 serial port shall be
disabled for lack of IRQs), 104 key enhanced keyboard, PS/2 style
mouse, Compaq PCI network interface card, Compaq S700 (17") monitor,
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Workstation 4.0 software and documentation,
Standard 3 year limited warranty. 3) One (1) each, Motor Valve IV-908.
4) Two (2) each, Motor Valve PV-908, 5) One (1) each, 10 ML Superloop.
6) One (1) each,50 Ml complete Superloop. 7) One each, 200 HR 10/30
Superdex. 8) One (1) each Histrap Kit. And 9) One (1) each, Hitrap Hit
test kit 5 X 1ML. The Government's desired delivery and accptance
schedule is Thirty (30) calendar days from the contract award date. The
provisions of FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to offerors --
Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provisions of FAR
Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is applicable to this
acquisition. Award will be made based on lowest price, time for
delivery of the equipment, convincing written warranty that the
equipment offered is the sameor identical to the equipment described in
this acquisition and technically acceptable offer meeting the
government's specifications. The Offeror must include a completed copy
of the provision of FAR Clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and
Certifications -- Commercial Items with its offer. The provisions of
FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items,
applies to this acquisition. The offeror must provide three (3) copies
of the proposal, descriptive literature inclusive of detailed
specifications as part of the quotation, warranty and total U.S. dollar
amount. FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to
implement Statutes or executive Orders -- Commercial Items --
Deviation for Simplified Acquisitions, applies to this acquisition.
Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the
equipment specified in this synopsis should submit a quotation to the
below address. The quotation must reference "Request for Quotation"
number NHLBI-PS-99-494. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar
days from the publication date of this synopsis by 3:00 p.m. E. T. All
responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received,
shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in
