The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Newport, RI intends to award, on a Sole Source basis, a Firm-Fixed Price Supply contract to Miltope Corporation of 500 Richardson Road South, Hope Hull, AL. The AN/BSY-2 Program currently utilizes MILTOPE disk drives in all systems. Design of this disk was specifically fabricated for the AN/BSY-2 Program by MILTOPE Corporation. In addition, MILTOPE developed and fabricated a militarized enclosure (case) that allowed the Navy to meet grade-A shock requirements of the Seawolf class submarine. There are AN/BSY-2 system's installed on the SSN-21, and two system's located at LMC, Syracuse, New York. A quantity of sixteen (16) disks is required.
