Titus, (618) 229-9539 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation, reference Number DCA200-99-T-5017. This RFQ document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 97-12 and DCN 19990722. This RFQ is issued under Full and Open Competition. SIC Code 4812, Radiotelephone Communications, applies. Size standard is 1500 employees. The requirement is for DISA Area Command Columbus Regional Services Activity for a base period from 1 Oct 1999 through 30 Sep 2000, and one 12-month option from 1 Oct 2000 through 30 Sep 2001. Digital, one-way, toll free, paging service shall provide paging airtime coverage for substantially the entire State of Ohio, including all metropolitan areas with a population exceeding 50,000. No alphanumeric capabilities are required. Pagers shall be delivered FOB destination to Columbus, Ohio. Duty station for employees provided with pagers is Columbus, Ohio. The numeric pagers shall have the following features, at a minimum: Display time of day and date, message time stamping, alarm, message lock, selective erase, erase all, user selectable alerts, silent vibration, low battery indicator, saves message when off or changing battery, durable holster/clip, backlit display, minimum 900 MHz, Year 2000 compliant. Each pager shall have the capability to receive an unlimited number of pages per month. Any offer reflecting a finite number of pages per pager per month shall provide for "overcalls." Pricing shall include all applicable charges, including Universal Service Fund. Option quantities may be ordered at any time by modification to the order as requirements arise. Delivery of option quantities shall be within 10 days of receipt of modification.
