This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, attachments will be incorporated by modification to this notice; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation F09609-99-Q-0020 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The procurement is 100% small business set-aside and will follow simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13. The applicable standard industrial code (SIC) is 7349 with a size standard of $12.0M. Dobbins Air Reserve Base, (Marietta) Georgia is soliciting quotes for the following nonpersonal services: provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, transportation and other items and services necessary to perform cleaning of designated air conditioning ductwork, grills, registers, dampers, diffusers, turning vanes, blowers, blower housings, and condensate pans on the systems in Bldg 838. Work to be accomplished in Bay 1, and includes approximately 58,350 square feet of floor space, with 10 air handling systems which service two floors. All work shall be performed in accordance with the system manufacturers listed procedures and National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) Standard Number 1992-01, Standard for Air Duct Cleaners. The contract period of performance shall be 60 calendar days. One pre-bid site visit will be conducted on Monday, 20 September 1999 at 10:00 A.M., at building 812, Suite 106, 1538 Atlantic Avenue, Dobbins ARB GA 30069-4824. Attendance is not mandatory however, failure to attend will not relieve bidders/offerors from responsibility for estimating properly the difficulty or cost of successfully performing the work. This will be the only site visit conducted to familarize contractors with the project. Evaluation of quotes will be in accordance with FAR Clause 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, based on the total price inclusive.
