This annoucement hereby modifies the original announcement previously published on August 30, 1999 for the Portland VA Medical Center seeking a request for quotation to provide a Digital Charge Coupled Device (CCD) Camera for use with an Electron Microscope. The original announcement specified the Advanced Microscopy Techniques (AMT) ADVPLUS-003 or equal. This announcement hereby changes the requirement to an Advanced Microscopy Techniques (AMT) ADVPLUS-005 or equal which includes the modification to allow retracting of the STEM detector in the 35mm port of the JEM-1200EX. The camera will have a minimum of 2000x2000 (square) pixel resolution, Focus Mode at full resolution, partial field at 20MHz (ROI x 8bit), STandard TIFF file format (interpolated from 12 to 8 bit) or 16 bit binary files available, Electronic shutter no beam blanking or mechancial shutter required, Air cooled Thermoelectric Termperatur Control. Digital Image Acquisition Hardware and Software remains the same. Computer syste is now reuired to be not less than 450 MHz, MS Windows based computer with PCI Buss, 100 BASE T Board, 16+GB HD, 128 MB Ram, 3.5" FD< 1280 x 1024 VGA display monitor, Internal 100 MB IDE Zip Drive, Internal-Writeable CD and will include a High Resolution Inkjet Printer (1400 dpi x 700 dpi) to include cabling and photo quality paper.
