This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is F41622-99-Q-0002 and is issued as a request for quotation. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-13. Line Item 0001 is to provide pickup and disposal of all items designated as biohazardous waste from specified locations at IERA/SDE, Brooks AFB, TX. The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, packing containers, vehicles, transportation, and incineration of items designated biohazardous. Estimated number of boxes is 2,000 each. The contractor is responsible for having all applicable licenses and permits to perform the work required. The contractor must ensure all work is accomplished IAW state and federal standards to include CFR Title 49, EPA Title 40, OSHA Instruction CPL 2-2.446, and Title 25 Texas Administrative Code. FOB is destination. Period of Performance is 01 Oct 99 through 30 Sep 00 (FY00). The provision at FAR 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition.
