Jackson, Contracting Officer (256) 313-4061 The government proposes to acquire on an other than full and open competitive basis, contract field services, as defined in FAR 37.201(c) by the assignment of Contractor Field Service Representatives (CFSRs) on location and in support of the Apache AH-64A aircraft, systems and components manufactured by the contractor and supplied to the government. These CFSRs will be located at Seckenheim, Germany; Fort Hood, TX; Fort Carson, CO; Fort Bragg, NC; Fort Campbell, KY; Conroe, TX; Fort Knox, KY; Camp Humphrey, Korea; Camp Eagle, Korea; and Camp Page, Korea. The CFSRs will provide on-the-spot advice to military personnel and civilian Logistics Assistance Representatives (LARs), to resolve technical problems incident to operating, testing, trouble-shooting and general maintenance practices associated with the equipment. The period of performance for this effort is October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000, with a one year exercisable option from 1 Oct 00 through 30 Sep 01. It is anticipated that Award willbe made utilizing a Firm Fixed Price delivery order to an existing Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA). This is a sole source requirement to McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems, Mesa, AZ 85215-9797. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources, is applicable to this proposed procurement.
