Government is seeking technical information and sources that may or may
not lead to procurement of ground penetrating radar (GPR) or alternate
technology for Navy airfield pavements. Relevant GPR (or alternate)
technology should be able to detect subsurface voids below 12-inch
thick concrete or asphalt pavements. These subsurface voids can be due
to either natural sinkholes of erosion from leaking pipes, and can
occur at depths up to 20 feet. Interested parties must provide
sufficient technical literature for in-house evaluation of the proposed
technology capabilities. Closing date is 8 October 1999. All
information material shall be forwarded at no cost to the Government.
This notice is not a request for proposals and no contract will be
awarded solely on the basis of the responses hereto, or any follow-up
