TRACKING DIGITAL RADAR SYSTEM The Space and Naval Warfare Systems
Center, San Diego is seeking sources for low altitude 3D tracking radar
system for application at the Navy's Southern California Offshore
Ranges. The scope of this Request for Information (RFI) may result in
the procurement of a commercially available Low Altitude 3D Tracking
Digital Radar System. This radar is expected to track several airborne
targets simultaneously in the optimum frequency band range. Specifics
on the tracking radar requirements that must be met are:
Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment, track several simultaneous
targets up to a 50 nmi range, minimum Radar Cross Sectional (RCS)
target area of 0.50 square meters, track velocity 600 knots, include
IFF interrogator data to identify a target, associate and slave it with
a selected radar track, and provide an industry standard network
interface (Ethernet or Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM)) connected to
the radar processor, digitizer and search targetextractor to distribute
track position information packets to the customer's Wide Area Network
(WAN). Offerors who can provide a Low Altitude 3D Tracking Digital
Radar System which meets the above performance criteria should, at a
minimum, submit the following information: A radar and system
description and performance data which address the desired
capabilities. Estimated per unit cost for quantity buys of 1 and 2
systems including specific capabilities at the submitted cost. Other
optional capabilities, scheduled availability, test report/supporting
data if available. Appropriate company points-of-contact for the
product. Interested firms should indicate SBA status if applicable.
Responses to this synopsis must be received in writing not later than
COB Pacific Standard Time on 09/24/99. Proprietary information
submitted in response to the synopsis will be protected when clearly
identified as such. This is not a request for proposals nor does the
Government intend to pay for any information solicited. Acknowledgement
of receipt will not be made, nor telephone inquires be honored. The
