This modification announces the expansion of the July 4, 2000, fireworks display on the Grounds of the Washington Monument, Washington, D.C. The Government is encouraging prospective offerors to use a variety of aerial effects as well as more firework shells to create a spectacular effect that will enhance and complement the Year 2000 fireworks display. The estimated magnitude of the project has increased to under $300,000 for the Year 2000 show. The estimated magnitude for the two option years, 2001 and 2002, has increased between $80,000 to $110,000 per show. Contractors must provide a proposal for and must intend to perform all three years of shows to be considered. This procurement is open to all sized businesses which is a change from the original announcement. A solicitation is available upon request beginning September 22, 1999.
