The proof press shall simulate currency and postage stamp production, with the goal of reducing the production downtime of intaglio printing equipment. The proof press shall be capable of printing up to 11 12 inches long by 11 12 inches wide on sheets up to 13 inches long by 13 inches wide at a speed of up to 120 sheets per hour. The print quality shall match the print quality of currency and postage stamps produced at a speed up to 10,000 sheets per hour on existing intaglio printing equipment. The contractor shall provide turnkey installation services, perform tests to demonstrate that the equipment is capable of meeting specified requirements, and provide needed spare parts, auxiliary equipment, and training in operation and maintenance.
