tools, equipment, parts, materials, and incidentals necessary to
inspect, test, repair and maintain the fire detection, alarm and
suppression systems at the Defense National Stockpile Center (DNSC)
Binghamton, NY Depot, Hoyt Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13901-1699. The
System provides coverage to five (5) warehouses and one(1) equipment
maintenance facility. The suppression system is a dry pipe sprinkler in
the warehouse and wet pipe in the maintenance shop. The detection and
alarm system is a Notifier Model AM 2020 with an AM 2020 control panel
and a model MPS-24-A 12-volt/26 OHA battery backup. System monitoring
components include 29 dry type sprinkler system pressure switches, 33
supervisory signals with low air pressure switches, three (3) smoke
detectors, three (3) master fire pump control alarms, one (1) electric
fire pump control alarm, and 12 heat detectors. The suppression system
includes four (4) 1,000 GPM delivery pumps (3 gasoline and 1 electric)
that deliver water from a reservoir through approximately 10,560
linear feet of 10-inch iron pipe to 16 valve houses (4 per warehouse).
Potential contractors are strongly encouraged to visit and review the
site prior to quoting to affirm his/her ability to accomplish the full
range of support services required. Products and services provided
under the resulting contract shall conform to current related state and
federal statutes and codes. The Contractor shall be required to show
proof of appropriate professional certification as required by the
State of New York for commercial fire detection, alarm and suppression
system service, prior to contract award. CLIN 0001:
System/Infrastructure Inspection, one (1) each CLIN 0002: Scheduled
Repairs and Preventative Maintenance, 200 Hours CLIN 0003: Emergency
Service, 120 Hours The hours stated in CLINs 0002 and 0003 are
estimated, not guaranteed, and are dependent upon the requirements of
