The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Firm-Fixed Price contract for the installation of an automated/modernized freight elevator system located at the Washington, DC facility. This project requires the contractor to complete a turnkey demolition of six (6) existing freight elevator control systems and install a new automated/modernized freight elevator control system in the Annex and Main buildings of the BEP. Construction shall include power, control panels, wiring, lighting, HVAC, sprinkler piping, and all other necessary architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical related construction. The contractor will also be required to provide training on their respective equipment and systems. Security clearances for contractor personnel are required. The period of performance for the contract will be five hundred and sixty-five (565) calendar days. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
