The Fleet & Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intend to procure PACS Software Support Service and PACS System Full Service Maintenance Support for the Medical Diagnostic Imaging System (MDIS) utilized by the Naval Hospital Oak Harbor (WA). The period of performance is anticipated to be one year with four 1-year options. The MDIS is linked to Madigan Hospital's MDIS. In order for the Navy sites to continue using the teleradiology capabilities of the system and to maintain the critical link to Madigan's MDIS, the MDIS must be maintained by a GE Medical Systems Administrator. Additionally, the software that supports the database and many of the hardware components embedded in the database are proprietary to GE Medical Systems. The Government is unable to provide information necessary to support competitive procurement. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate and award the modification on a sole source basis with General Electric Medical Systems, 800 Business Center Drive, Mt. Prospect, IL 60056. A firm fixed price service contract is anticipated. Procedures in FAR Parts 12 and 13 will be utilized. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted.
