The General Services Administration intends to issue a contract to GTE Government Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number 6TSA-99-MTV-0193. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-13. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. This procurement is for follow on upgrades and configuration of Weather Effects Workstations Systems for the Army at AFWA by the original contractor thus ensuring hardware and software baseline compatibility on legacy CHS-2 systems/configurations. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
