No tankage-water accommodations on board. REPAIRS: The YFN-372 Covered lighter has thin metal thickness at bottom. Cannot be used as barge without repairs. Useful for Dock or Dry-dock storage space. Modified in 1982 Turnshed for classrooms. YOS-28 OIL STORAGE BARGE Length: 110' Width 34' Draft: 9' Builder: Puget Sound Bridge and Dredging co. (Now Lockheed Shipbuilding and Construction Co. Seattle WA.) YEAR BUILT: 1930 HULL TYPE: Barge MATERIAL: Steel LOCATION: Seattle, WA LWL: 80' BEAM: 32' DRAFT: 9' HULL NO.: YOS-28 YOS-28 contains only Oil Storage Tanks. No tankage-water accommodations on board. REPAIRS: YOS-28 Corrosion pitting, i.e., hole indentations around water line that are repairable. Designed to hold fuel. Some thin metal at bottom but not major. Pumping system on board. Operational. Formerly used to supply fuel in harbor to supply ships. Pipeline failure in Seattle makes this valuable.
