Vendor products should be state of the art technology. It is expected that awards for three-month leases of products will be completed by December 1999, with testing of vendor products to begin in January 2000 as a phased effort, with three-month phases ending about September 2000. Vendors may submit descriptive literature of products through June 2000 which may be considered for lease. The purpose of this notice is to review descriptive literature early and develop a vendor list. The solicitation for the beginning phase of product leases should be issued by the end of October 1999 or early November with awards to be made shortly thereafter. Vendors who do not submit descriptive literature at this time may do so by the 30 June 2000 time frame which may be considered for award if funds are available.
