Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision
required to: 1.1. excavate 4000CY of existing earth fill from proposed
disposal field and haul to a dry disposal field within 4 12 miles away
to create area for new dredge spoils. 1.1.2 Dredge, by bucket from
barge, approximately 2500CY of material within the boat basin at Coast
Guard Station Chincoteague, Virginia. Dispose material in an approved
upland disposal site, approximately 2 l/2 miles away. 1.13 Remove 2x6
timber fenders along travel lift piers and replace with new 4x6 timber
fenders (224 LF Total as shown on drawings. 1.1.4 Splice/weld 18"
extensions on (8) 10" diameter steel pipe piles as shown on drawings
1.15 Replace (18) existing cleats and (2) missing cleats with (20) new,
18" steel cleats on (2) concrete floating piers. 1.16 Upgrade (2) 60 A
shore tie receptacles with (2) 100 A shore tie receptacles and provide
and install new shore tie plugs at location shown on drawings. Take
before and after soundings to determine quantity of material dredged.
1.2.1 Provide price for "overdredged" material from project area. Total
payable quantity of overdredged material allowed is 1500CY. Location of
the project is Chincoteague, Virginia. The SIC Code assigned for this
project is 1629, the size standard is $13.5 million. To be considered
small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at
least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or
equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The estimated range
of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. When available, this
