The U.S. Military District of Washington (MDW) Acquisition Center, Ft Belvoir Virginia, 22060-5134 will conduct two pre-market survey briefings for small business concerns interested in performing as the prime contractor for multifunctional installation support requirements at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Fort Myer, Virginia; Fort Meade, Maryland; and Fort Hamilton New York. These acquisitions are being conducted in accordance with the Office of Management and Budget (OBM) Circular A-76, "Performance of Commercial Activities." The Washington Metropolitan Area Briefing will be held at the Essayons Theater, Fort Belvoir, Virginia from 9:00 to 10:30 AM EST, November 9, 1999. A second Briefing will be conducted at the Community Center, Fort Hamilton, New York from 9:00 to 10:30 AM EST, November 16, 1999. The Washington briefing will cover National Capitol Region (Fort Belvoir, Myer and Meade) requirements. The Fort Hamilton Briefing will address the Fort Hamilton Military community requirements. Because of space limitations at both locations interested parties are requested to limit attendance to not more than two representnatives per firm. The following base operations support functions are typically found at MDW installations: Directorate of Logistics; Directorate of Public Works; Directorate of Personnel and Community Activities (including Military Personnel/Adjutant General and Community and Family Activities); Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security; Directorate of Resource Management; Safety Office; Chaplin; Staff Judge Advocate; and Internal review and Compliance. The U.S. Army will use market survey responses to determine small business interest and capability to perform base operations support functions currently being performed by Government personnel at the affected MDW installations. The Market survey format is expected to be published on the internet at http://mdwsps2.belvoir.army.mil/survey.doc about October 29, 1999. Interested small business sources are requested to download, complete and return the market survey file (in electronic form).
