The Maritime Administratin (MARAD) is seeking qualified 8(a) certified firms capable of providing a broad spectrum of analytical, administrative and/or technical support services. The general areas of the services to be performed include, but are not limited to, updating/editing of Ready Reserve Force (RRF) support documents, such as operation and instruction manuals, defining hardware, equipment and/or system requirements and specification development, audio visual communications and computer hardware maintenance, statistical data analysis, computer software development and testing, database design, development and conversion, development of requirements and software for interfacing and/or integration of software applications. Qualified sources must have a proven background of providing services of the type identified above and shall possess a current valid ISO 9000 Certification in engineering services and/or information technology services. Interested sources may respond to this notice by providinginformation, upon which a determination can be made as to their capabilities and qualifications, addressing specifically their current-inhouse capabilities with Microsoft Office 97 Professional; NT server technology/networks; teleconferencing; Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT; development tools/languages/databases such as Visual Basic 6.0, MS Access and Visual C++, SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase; and interface development between Oracle and SQL Server databases, as well as Web-based applications for database access and updating. It is MARAD's intent NOT to provide funding for any hardware or software considered as typical state-of-the-art technology/resources.
