The U.S. Customs Service intends to procure a requirements type contract for the acquisition of High Frequency Single Side-Band Network Systems (HF/SSB). In accordance with Customs Service Specifications CMD-0025 dated 08/18/99. The Network consists of the following system items: (1) Fixed Station (FS); (2) Remote Command & Control (RCC); (3) Telephone to Radio Interface Communications System (TRICS); (4) Marine and Airborne Mobile (MOBILE); (5) Tracking and Communications System (TRACS); (6) Transportable; (7) Public Switched Telephone Network RCC (PSTN-RCC); (8) Fixed Station Transmitter Selector (FSTS); (9) RCC Interface System (RCC-IS); and (10) Network Activity System (NAS). It is the intent of the Customs Service to modify the existing operational radio network to be fully compliant with the new FED STD 1045, if adequate funding becomes avaialbe in the future.
