Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS/BPH) of
the Library of Congress is seeking a qualified vendor to provide
disposal services (in accordance with EPA standards and guidelines) for
between 90 and 270 tons of surplus and damaged phonographs used for
playing "Talking Books". The machines will be sent to the contractor or
his designated disposal site from across the country for disposition.
Note: some of the machines have lead in their arms and will have to be
disposed of in accordance with EPA standards. Interested parties may
submit written requests referencing request for quote RFQ00C-01 which
will be available on or about November 4, 1999. All requests must be
