The U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Export Administration has a requirement for conference facilities, hotel accommodations and services to hots its annual Update Conference on Export Controls. The facility must be located in the Washington, DC metropolitian area, and walking distance of no more than five blocks or five to eight minute walk from the U.S. Department of Commerce, 14th & Constitution Avenue NW. The facility must have sufficient meeting space to accommodate approximately 800 participants in a theather style seating, breakout rooms to accommodate approximately 800 participants, exhibit space, private dining room and provide sleeping accommodations of a block of 450 standard rooms. The conference is a three day event. The 2000 conference is scheduled to take place within the first two weeks of July. Conferences are planned for 2001 and 2002, dates to be scheduled within the mid-July time frame. This acquisition is for a base year and two option years. The SIC code is 7389.
