The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service has announced plans to purchase canned boned poultry in 29-ounce cans for use in domestic food nutrition assistance programs. Offers are invited from the trade for canned boned poultry in 29-ounce (822 g) cans, packed 24 cans to a shipping container with 43.5 pounds (19.76 kg) net weight in, in purchase units of 36,540 pounds (16,754 kg) net weight. Deliveries will be made from January 1 to March 31, 2000. The program announcement, commodity specification, current invitation and food purchase report can be found at our website listed below. In addition, small businesses (500 employees or less) are encouraged to participate.
