FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to award a firm fixed price contract for a 12-month period, effective November 1, 1999, to The Advisory Board Company, 600 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20037. FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire membership services for Health Care Advisory Board at Airforce Medical Advisory System located Brooks AFB TX. The membership services is to be provide members access to the following services: (a) The Strategic Research service publishes several major research reports each year detailing news from progressive health care markets, as well as frontier strategies and practices. (b) The Custom Research service provides over 11,000 custom research projects made available to members through a project library. The Advisory Board Company will provide phone and or web access to the library for literature searches, expert networks and vendor profiles. The Advisory Board Company provide members the access to direct short-answer questions to the Boards staff for specific answers, data and facts. (c) The final services that The Advisory Board provide is On-site Briefing/Educational, which is on-site presentations from the Board's staff, administrators and other board members on health care and medical issues. The period of performance is 01 November 1999 through 31 October 2000. Award will be negotiated with The Advisory Board Company under authority FAR 6.302-1. The Advisory Board Company is considered to be the only manufacturer that can provide the above services. Proposals in response to the solicitation must be submitted with the instructions set in FAR 52.212-1 paragraph (b).
