The Contract Line Item for Miscellaneous expenses (applies to line items 1002,2002,3002) is to allow for any last minute "add-on" expenses that invariably happen at a conference of this nature. Examples of such an expense are as follows: a need for an additional meeting room that a major claimant indicated they need for a meeting that they forgot to tell the requiring activity about during the planning phase, or an additional piece of audiovisual equipment that one of the presenters failed to mention to the requiring activity during the planning phase, or an additional piece of audiovisual equipment that one of the presenters failed to mention to us during the planning phase of the conference. The Miscellaneous line item is to be labeled as Not To Exceed (NTE) $4,000.00 in the contract. The only personnel authorized to use this line item are as follows: LCDR L. McFarland, Executive Officer, NAVOSH and Environmental Training Center and Harve Stewart, Department Head, NAVOSH and Environmental Training Center West.
