construction of concrete parapet wall & raising the height of earthen
embankments along approximate 4.5 miles of existing flood control
channels. Construction of retaining walls, concrete paving of channel
sideslopes, outlet structures, asphalt maintenance roads fencing, steel
pipe safety railing, landscaping & incidentals are included. The
standard industrial classification (SIC) code is 1629, Heavy
construction except dredging, N.E.C.,$17M average annual gross revenue
for the last three (3) fiscal years. Estimated cost range is from
$25,000,000.00 to 100,000.000.00. This project will provide Plans &
Specifications using CD-Rom only; hard copies will not be available.
The CD-rom will be available on or about November 22, 1999 at no
charge. Hard copies will not be available. Because a limited number of
CD-Roms will be reproduced, copies are limited to one CD-Rom per firm.

Official media of distribution of the solicitation is CD-Rom only. All
responsible sources may submit an offer. Small and Disadvantaged firms
are encouraged to participate as Prime Contractors or as members of
joint ventures with other small businesses. All interested Contractors
are reminded that the successful contractor will be expected to place
subcontractors to the maximum practicable extent with small and
disadvantaged firms in accordance with the provisions of Public Law
95-507. Any contract awarded under this solicitation shall be made
pursuant to Public Law 95-507. In addition, Large Businesses will be
required to submit a Subcontracting Plan, which will set forth small,
disadvantaged and women-owned business concerns subcontracting goals
that are acceptable to the Government. The Los Angeles District's Prime
Contractorsubcontracting goal percentages of the amount subcontracted
are as follows: 62% with small business; 10% with small disadvantaged
business, and 5% with women-owned business. Any contract award under
this solicitations shall be made pursuant to Public Law 100-656, Small
