equipment, transportation, plant, logistics and supervision required
for the maintenance, removal, disposal and installation of submarine
power cable in the Great Lakes for U. S. Coast Guard Aids to
Navigation. Some types of cable installation may require the services
of divers. The U. S. Coast Guard will provide all labor, material, and
personnel required to splice the submarine cable during maintenance
and/or replacement. The U. S. Coast Guard will provide a self contained
diesel powered hydraulic dual drum cable reeler and the cable for
accomplishment of the required cable work. Electrical work
(connections/disconnections) will be performed by U. S. Coast Guard
personnel. The Contractor will be required to perform contract work
from 1 May through 30 September for each year of the contract. All
scheduled work assigned shall be completed no later than 280 DANTP. The
proposed procurement shall be in effect for the Basic Contract Year
with options for four additional one-year periods. This procurement is
estimated between $250K and $500K and is open to large and small
businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitive
Demonstration Program. It is the Government's intent to award a fixed
price, Requirements type contract. The applicable SIC Code is 1623. The

will be required to submit past performance information to document
qualifications of at least of five years experience in marine work with
access to and experience working with divers. The solicitation will
contain evaluation criteria upon which award will be based. All
