This is a Solicitation for the acquisition of commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. Solicitation No. USSS000005 will be issued as a request for proposals. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 3211, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The United States Secret Service has a requirement for men's and women's uniform clothing including trousers, blouses, and short and long sleeve shirts. The contractor will be required to submit product samples for testing and evaluation. The contract period of performance will be on or about February 1, 2000 for a twelve month period with two (2) one year renewal options. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract, to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable, and whose cost and technical merit relationship represent the best value to the Government.
