PROCUREMENT. The SIC Code is 1542. The estimated cost is between
$1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The U. S. Army Corp of Engineers has a
requirement for construction of a 11,770 SF Golf Clubhouse building and
a 4,500 SF Cart Storage building. The Clubhouse and cart storage
buildings are both one-story, steel framed buildings, having pitched
roofs with hip ends. Both buildings have a metal standing seam-roofing
system supported on open-web steel bar joists. The exterior walls of
the Clubhouse are non-bearing, utilizing cold-formed metal studs
backing an exterior finish of masonry brick veneer and EIFS. The Cart
Storage building is an unheated, open-structure, with brick and EIFS
pier, which match the clubhouse and frame a metal grill system that
encloses the building visually. The foundations are spread footing
systems, utilizing reinforce concrete foundation walls and
grade-supported, reinforced concrete slabs. The Clubhouse is used year
round and houses its own boiler and auxiliariesand is equipped with a
HVAC system, domestic hot and cold water, and all related plumbing.
The Clubhouse is fully sprinklered facility (hydraulically designed);
furnished with electric power and lightning throughout; and wired for
telephone and Local Area Network systems. The construction also
includes: contract the purchase and installation of kitchen and service
bar equipment; site improvements, and utilities (water, sanitary sewer,
electric and natural gas service), sidewalks, bituminous paved roads
and parking, grading, storm drainage, landscaping, etc. Demolition and
disposal of existing pavements and utilities are also requirements of
this work. Work may require the removal and disposal of asbestos
containing material. Prospective bidders will be notified at a future
date as to when site visits will be scheduled. Completion date is 365
calendar days from Notice to Proceed. In order to comply with the Debt
Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all contractors must be registered
in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for award
