requirement for 2,050 subscriptions to a journal that is received
weekly that provides agricultural commodity information about accurate
cash crop and livestock prices, advice on when and how to buy and sell
various commodities, new farm legislation and updates on ongoing
Government programs, articles and factsheets on profit management
issues, price and production outlooks, current production and financial
management practices, specific machinery, buildings and equipment
specifications, practices, specific tax and other investment
information. This service should also include a crop and livestock
hotline for up-to-the-minute pricing and marketing information. FSA
intends to contract with Doane Information Services, 11701 Borman
Drive, St. Louis, Missouri 63146 for the Doanes Agricultural Report
issued weekly; the abbreviated version of Doanes Agricultural Report
Newsletter for text only viewers; and, electronic capabilities. The
period of performance will be for a base and four option years.
Telephone requests for the solicitation will not be honored. November
22, 1999, is the anticipated due date for submission of proposals, not
the date for the issuance of the solicitation (refer to the
solicitation for the specific proposal due date and time). It is
anticipated that the solicitation will be released on or about November
15, 1999. This procurement will be conducted under sole source
procedures. The RFP document was developed using WordPerfect 7.0 and
will only be available through the USDA Farm Services Agency
Contracting Home Page (AMB Webpage). All amendments and other
information regarding the solicitation will be issued through the AMB
Webpage. The AMB Webpage is acceptable 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
