Department of Labor, Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP),
is recruiting to contract individual registered nurses (RNs) to
coordinate the medical management of injured federal employees.
Assignments will be intermittent and part time. The areas of
recruitment include the following states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia,
Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, and North Carolina.
Minimum requirements include (1) a valid RN License, (2) at least two
years case management experience, (3) and at least two years general
med-surgical experience. Additional experience desired includes basic
knowledge of workers' compensation injuries and illnesses. Applicants
chosen for this contract position will sign a memorandum of agreement
and will be required to attend mandatory training in OWCP procedures,
which will be held in Jacksonville, FL, no later than June 30, 2000. .
