The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomy Services to be provided to male federal offenders housed at the Federal Correctional Insitution in Texarkana, Texas. The contractor will be required to be a graduate of an Accredited Laboratory Technician/Phlebotomy program and provide verification as such with quote. The work will consist of but is not limited to; drawing blood or the collection of specimens, test for blood sugar levels via a glucometer and urinalysis by the use of dip stick. The contract period shall consist of one 12-month base year with four 12-month option years for renewal. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 3, 1999, with a deadline for receipt of proposals on or about January 7, 2000.
