Because of geographical considerations, the solicitation will most likely contain two zones. This solicitation is for the acquisition of various commercial food items. This is an Unrestricted Solicitation. The contract will be awarded as a Best Value Source Selection Procurement. The contract period will be one year, plus four one year options. Total estimated dollar value at this time including options is $30 million dollars. This estimate is subject to change after market research is conducted. There are two pre-solicitation conferences scheduled for the first week of December. One in Bahrain, at the ASU Base Theatre at 8 a.m., 6 December 1999 and one on December 7, 1999, 1 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza conference room. All interested parties are invited to attend.
