The US Fish & Wildlife Service requires fish marking services to be performed at various national fish hatcheries in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. The quantity of the fish to be marked per hatchery ranges from an estimated 20,000 to 2,000,000 each. Fish range in size from 10 to 600 per pound.
