GSA, HOTD/Central Heating and Refrigeration Plant is soliciting bids from small businesses to award a contract to replace 2 existing drain pans in the basement transformer rooms and replace 2 each metal roofs over the transformers. Drain pans shall be a non-rusting metal, same size as the existing pans and shall connect to the existing drain lines. Contractor shall clean the 3 other existing drain pans and roofs. All drain linves shall be snaked to make sure they are free of stopage. The entire graing shall be replaced outside the building that covers the 5 transformers. Weight bearing 10,000 lbs minimum. Cover shall be porous to allow ventilation but not to allow leaves to fall on the roofs of the transformers. There are unusual aspects and nature of the job that all prospective contractors must be aware of. A pre-bid conference including walk through of the job site has been scheduled for 9:30AM, November 30, 1999 at Central Heating and Refrigeration Plant. All interested bidders are required to attend.
