The U.S. Department of Transportation, Volpe Center, is seeking contractor expertise with Smart Card systems, specifically in the area of Transit Toll Electronic Payment System Guidelines and Specifications, Module 5. This module, Transit-toll will identify the specific characteristics involved in developing an integrated transit-toll payment system program utilizing smart card technology. The intent of this initiative will be to define the potential partnership opportunities, program linkages and institutional, organization and technical requirements of an integrated transit-toll smart card program. Interested parties shall submit a minimum of 2 pages but not more than 5 pages of do cumentation stating your experience and knowledge in transit fare collection systems, all aspects of electronic toll collection (ETC) and smart card technology, demonstrated experience in back-end processing of electronic payment systems including clearinghouse, data settlement and other system integrated issues.
