E-MAIL: Donna M. Olsen, dolsen@pop210gsfc.nasa.gov. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a IFB/ Request for Offers for the replacement of various underground steam, condensate, and high pressure return piping. The work includes removal of various segments of the underground steam distribution system piping and appurtenances; and the installation of a new system. The work includes a base bid and two option items. The order of magnitude for the procurement is between $1 and $5 million dollars and the effort shall be completed within 180 calendar days after notice to proceed. THIS PROJECT IS DESIGNATED FULL AND OPEN COMPETION. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1623 and $17 MILLION, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB/RFO is on or about November 29, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about December 30, 1999. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB/RFO. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office for a cost of $60.00, or on DC-ROM for $30.00. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. This is a Best Value Procurement.
