The work includes but is not limited to replacement of the HVAC system, plumbing fixtures, domestic water lines, restroom partitions and surface finishes, lighting fixtures, electrical upgrades, ceilings, carpet and signage. New work includes but not limited to an elevator, handicap access ramps, fire protection sprinkler system, standpipes in the stairwells, new telephone lines, local area network (LAN) wiring, video cabling, and built-in furnishings. Building also contains asbestos insulation and lead-bearing floor tile and restroom tile to be removed by contractor. The work will be accomplished in two major phases and building will be occupied. All work must be completed by 01 AUG 2001. This solicitation is an unrestricted Request for Proposal (RFP) _ Performance Price Tradeoff (PPT) under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. RFP to be issued on or about 13 DEC 1999 with a closing date 30 calendar days after RFP issuance. The estimated magnitude of this solicitation is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Code (SIC) will be 1542 with a 17 million-dollar size standard for a concern, including its affiliates.
