NASA/LaRC plans to issue a IFB for Service and Materials to replace cooling tower piping to tunnel cooling coil at Building 1236, NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, Va. The order of magnitude for the procurement is $250,000 to $500,000 and the effort shall be completed within 90 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The SIC Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 1711 and 7.0M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about December 1, 1999 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about January 3, 2000. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from the Bid Distribution Office (757) 864-2547. All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Internet Note "B".
