Department of Energy Oak Ridge Operations Office (ORO) seeks one
experienced 8(a) firm for administrative support services. A
competitive procurement will be set aside for small businesses
certified by the Small Business Administration to use Standard
Industrial Code 8744 at the $20 million maximum allowed annual receipts
level. The contractor shall perform a variety of administrative
services in support of multiple offices within the ORO complex. The
contractor shall provide the necessary skilled personnel to
successfully perform the administrative functions. The work will be
performed on Government sites in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, and the
Government will provide the necessary space, utilities, equipment and
supplies necessary to accomplish the work. Services include but are not
limited to general office support, reproduction, mail operations,
graphics, library services, information processing, request processing,
document management and accountability, and data analysis. The scope
excludes operation of the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak
Ridge and support to the Paducah, Kentucky office. The contract type
is anticipated to be an indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity task
order contract with a time-and-materials pricing arrangement containing
fixed unit rates. The contract is expected to have one two-year base
period plus three one-year option periods, for a total contract period
not to exceed five years. A transition period may be required during
May 2000 and work must begin no later than June 1, 2000. Contingent on
funding availability, budget expectations, and the exercising of
options, the total estimated contract value is $25 to $30 million. A
Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected to be released on or about
December 15, 1999, only on the Internet address of
http://www.oakridge.doe.gov/procurement/cur_sol.html . Telephone or
written requests for the RFP will not be accepted. Site tours,
preproposal conferences, and oral presentations are not being planned.
Any supporting documentation will be made available in the Public
Reading Room at the time of release of the RFP. Proposals will be due
