The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL) is seeking interested bidders for a simplified acquisition competition (for this simplified acquisition, individuals are considered a small business) to create and maintain partnerships with other organizations to enhance NIFL's dissemination efforts under the Reading Excellence Act. For the period of February 1, 2000 to January 30, 2001, the NIFL seeks to work with a contractor for the purposes of: (1) establishing and maintaining a Working Partners Group, (2) developing and implementing a strategic plan for increasing the Group's membership as a means for extending and enhancing network for reading research dissemination, and (3) establishing and maintaining a national network of regional partners for disseminating information and providing technical assistance to state and local education agencies that are designing and or implementing research-based reading programs, and (4) assisting with other tasks, as necessary.
