The Department of Human Services (DHS), the State of Hawaii, is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified consultants to provide independent validation and verification (IV&V) services for the Hawaii Arizona PMMIS (HAPA) project. The HAPA project is a joint state effort by Hawaii and Arizona to develop and implement a managed care information system for Hawaii through modifications and enhancement to Arizona's PMMIS. The IV&V contractor will be responsible for ensuring that the design, development and implementation of the HAPA project is being performed on schedule and that the deliverables meet acceptable system standards. The consultants must not be currently involved with the HAPA project or other information-system related contracts or subcontracts with DHS for the Med-QUEST Division (MQD) or the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS). The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available from December 10, 1999.
