Women-Owned and Small Disadvantaged Businesses are encouraged to participate. The project is located at F.E. Warren AFB, WY and involves the interior renovation of a large airman_s dormitory. The dormitory consists of two floors of rooms (84 total rooms) as well as a finished basement area and an attic. The work will include, but is not limited to, demolition of all interior finishes and systems, including all partitions, plumbing, electrical, heating, and ventilation systems. Upon completion of demolition, new finishes and systems will be installed to renovate the dormitory to new Air Force enlisted dormitory standards (room-kitchenette/bathroom-room configuration). Included will be the installation of air conditioning throughout the living space (cooling tower construction and installation of fan-coils in each room). The basement and attic areas will not be fully renovated except as necessary for installation of new building systems and for upgrades to modern codes. Performance period for resultant construction contract awarded as a result of this solicitation will be 365 calendar days. Magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Issue date for this solicitation is anticipated to be on or about 18 Jan 00 with closing date 30 days after issuance. This solicitation is a Request for Proposal _ Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT).
