Smith, 706-731-7174 Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Augusta, Georgia, is seeking sources for the sell of approximately 3000-4000 pounds per month of used hospital linens consisting of a mixed variety of used sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, hand towels, blankets, bedspreads, gowns, pajamas, etc. The contractor will be required to pick up all used hospital linens available for pick up. The contractor will not be allowed to sort through used linens and pick up only selected ones. The contractor must pick up the used linens from the medical center laundry facility. VA will not be responsible for shipping used linens to the contractor. The used linens shalll be paid for at the time of pick up. The solicitation will be issued on or about December 17, 1999.
