Genee.Ringel@hill.Af.Mil. ICS for Maverick Missile Repairs: The AGM-65
Maverick All-Up Round (AUR) (whole missile) Depot Repair facility at
Hill AFB, UT has closed, and the repair capability will be moved to
another organic facility. While the private sector is excluded from
competition for the long-term repair workload, the Government may
contract with the private sector for interim contract support during
this transition period. We estimate this transition period will last
not more than 12 months. Workload during this transition period is
expected to number fewer than 100 missiles, and may require any of the
following repair actions: disassembly, replacement of main wiring
harness/rocket motor/warhead, refurbishment of airframe, reassembly,
testing, packing, shipping. The Government is considering contracting
with Raytheon (Tucson, AZ) since they are the only known entity which
already possesses the required test equipment and facilities. If any
other contractor considers themselves capable, and is interested in
this opportunity, they should immediately contact Maj Davis
(801-777-5266), Program Manager, OO-ALC/WMM, 6034 Dogwood Ave, Hill
AFB, UT 84056-5816. Robert.D.Davis@hill.af.mil To: Raytheon, Tucson AZ.

from the requestor are acceptable. Electronic procedure will be used
for this solicitation. See our Web page. An Ombudsman has been
appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during
the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the
Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or
contracting officer, but to communicate contractor, concerns, issues,
disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government
personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict
confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not
participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection
process. Interested parties are invited to call Roger Porter if your
concerns are not satisfied by the contracting officer (801)777-6991.
